PKR Poker Review

PKR.com is the world's first and best fully 3D poker room. Started in 2006 and based out of the UK, PKR has quickly grown as a dominating force in the 3D Poker market and continues to expand its player base with approx. 1,100 ring game players and 5,000 tournament players during peak hours.

The PKR Poker software is custom developed and focuses on providing a realistic 3D atmosphere that incorporates real player emotions at the table. Players at the site can use emotion buttons to make their players react in certain situations such as celebrating a big win or getting frustrated over a bad beat. The gaming client also provides different 3D views of the poker table including first person, television style and many others. The only downside to the software is slower game play and a long download and set up time. The site functions best on newer computers with lots of memory. Despite the drawbacks on game speed and load time, the PKR.com software has awesome graphics and great player interaction making it a fun place to play poker.

Poker games available at PKRPoker include NL Texas Holdem, Limit Texas Holdem, Omaha and Omaha Hi Lo. Game limits at the room for all games go from $0.01/$0.02 up to $5/$10 with tournaments ranging from $1.20 up to $200.

A major benefit to playing at PKR is the soft competition. Since the room provides a gamer type atmosphere the site tends to attract a lot of new players who are just getting into poker. Almost all limits on the site offer easy competition and a knowledgeable player should have no problem turning a profit at the tables. In particular, we recommend the sit and go's as they tend to have the worst players and provide the best win rate in our experiences.

PKR's loyalty program is heavily based on your character in the game. By earning points when you play ring games or tournaments, you can buy (with points) different attire for your character including clothes, jewelry, hats and other accessories. Other point based rewards include entries into various tournaments and freerolls on the site.

Our overall consensus on PKR.com is that the site is great for weak competition and a cool atmosphere to play poker in, but is not the best site for someone with a slow computer or a player who wants to play multiple tables.
