Over the past year and a half, the availability for US online poker players to find a place to play has decreased greatly. In September of 2006 the United States government passed a law known as the UIGEA or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which in turn caused many online poker sites to close their virtual doors to US online poker players.
